Isolated Acute Hemorrhagic Stroke: An Overview
What is an intracerebral hemorrhagic stroke? It’s a stroke caused by intracerebral hemorrhage which is when bleeding occurs within the cerebrum.
A subarachnoid hemorrhage is bleeding in the space between the meninges and the brain. It is a type of stroke typically caused by a ruptured aneurysm or an abnormal lump in a blood vessel. Symptoms would likely be a sudden and severe headache, and possibly nausea, vomiting, or a brief loss of conscience.
Hemorrhagic Stroke (Intracerebral Hemorrhage) Emergency Treatment Management Medicine Lecture USMLE
In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be presenting on Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Strokes, ICH, SAH, a high yield review. We will be starting with the anatomy and physiology of the various structures and regions within the brain, along with the cerebral vasculature including the circle of willis. We then move into the etiology and pathophysiology of transient ischemic attack (TIA), acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH).
