British Heart Foundation (BHF)’s series of online Q&As bring you leading heart experts direct to your screens.
In this edition, we focus on how to live well with atrial fibrillation (AF), a common abnormal heart rhythm that causes your heart to beat irregularly and often too fast.
In this video, you’ll hear from:
James Robson – diagnosed with AF in 2022, James talks about managing the condition as an experienced rower and being part of the men’s 2025’s winning Boat Race team for Cambridge University, as well as how he’s expecting to represent Great Britian at the 2025 Rowing World Championships in Shanghai.
Regina Giblin – a Senior Cardiac Nurse who has worked at BHF for 10 years, including on BHF’s Heart Helpline where she supports patients with a wide variety of heart and circulatory conditions, explains what AF is and gives useful tips on how to manage the condition.
Professor André Ng – a Consultant Cardiologist and Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at University of Leicester, discusses his BHF-funded research focused on creating an innovative ‘virtual ward’ to support those living with AF.
All information was correct at time of recording (May 2025).
